Since COVID-19 may prevent on site and in school educational programs at some locations, SCAA has developed this new resource for teachers and students.
The box contains a comprehensive PowerPoint on Long Island's Native Indian prehistory, history and archaeology. Pre-visit materials, artifacts from various periods, hands on activities and challenge sheets are also included to reinforce the information contained within the PowerPoint.

This program is available in-school and provides a hands-on learning experience for students in preschool through high school. Students will get an hour of interactive activities that were the lifeways of prehistoric Native Americans, as well as experiencing archaeology and museum exploration. A slide show is part of the experience.
The program includes
"We truly enjoyed this trip in every way! It was a super beginning to our Native American unit!"
"Thanks so much for allowing us to participate in your beautiful Hoyt Farm program. We always learn new and interesting facts. The children learn to greatly respect Native Americans."
"Thank you for providing children with this wonderful opportunity. Hoyt Farm remains a favorite trip for the children for years."
