The box contains a comprehensive PowerPoint on Long Island's Native American Indian prehistory, history and archaeology. Pre-visit materials, artifacts from various periods, hands on activities and challenge sheets are also included to reinforce the information contained within the PowerPoint. It is dropped off at the school, and then picked up as scheduled.

Students were so excited to handle and make observations of Native American artifacts. Students were especially engaged with using tools to drill holes in rock and crush corn with a mortar and pestle.
The materials gave students a tangible connection to history and deepened their understanding of Native American Indians.
The activities provided in the pre-visit booklet were fantastic. We added one that worked very well, where we placed a tarp with a grid on the floor of the classroom. After a day's worth of materials being dropped on the floor, we asked the students to "excavate" the classroom. We then discussed scale and area into our math curriculum. "
